Enrolling in Group 1
Welcome!
Children in the Netherlands can start primary school at age four. You may enroll your child at our school once they have turned three years old.
Getting to Know Our School
Schedule a Tour
Curious about our school? We warmly invite you to attend one of our school tours, held about twice a month. These tours are specifically for parents and children who have not yet turned four.
During the visit:
-
We’ll share our vision on education.
-
You’ll see how we work in practice.
-
We’ll take time to answer your questions.
At the end of the tour, you will receive a take-home information packet and an enrollment form.

How to Enroll
Step 1: Enrollment Form
If you choose to enroll your child, we’ll provide you with a form that asks for important information, such as:
-
Your child’s date of birth and home address
-
Any additional support your child might need
As parents, you are required to provide this information. This helps us assess whether our school is the right fit for your child.
Step 2: Review Period
Once we receive your completed form, we will review it within 6 weeks.
During this time, we assess whether we can meet your child’s educational and support needs. You can read more about our support capabilities in our School Support Profile (SOP).
In rare cases, if more time is needed, we may extend the review period by up to 4 additional weeks. We’ll inform you in writing if this happens. Our goal is always to respond within 6 weeks.
Duty of Care
From the moment you submit the written enrollment, our school has a duty of care.
This means we must find a suitable place for your child—at our school or, if needed, at another school in Rotterdam.
We work closely with the Passend Primair Onderwijs (PPO) network if extra support is required. You will always be informed before we reach out to them.
Exceptions to Duty of Care
We are not required to offer placement if:
-
The school or the group you’re enrolling for is full (e.g., Group 6 for the 2024–2025 school year).
-
You do not respect the foundational principles of our school (Catholic and Dalton-based education).
❗ Parents have an information duty: Please be transparent about your child’s needs. Without this information, we may decline to process the enrollment.
Lateral Entry (Transferring from Another School)
If your child is already attending another school and you wish to enroll them with us, this is considered lateral entry.
The same rules and steps apply as for enrolling in Group 1.
Additional Guidelines for Lateral Entry
-
We will contact your child’s current school as part of our evaluation process.
-
We aim to inform you within 6 weeks, with a possible extension of up to 4 more weeks.
-
Once confirmed as a good fit, your child will be officially enrolled.
